Memoirs of a Geisha is a story about Chinese martial arts actresses portraying Japanese women in the incredibly boring world of the geisha. If this movie is historically accurate, the geisha of the 1930's and 1940's spoke nothing but terrible English to one another and sounded ridiculous doing so.

The film really opened up my eyes to who the geisha were. Previously I had only known them to be the characters in ninja video games. You know, the ones who squealed and cowered in fear while my character dropped through the ceiling. But make no mistake - Memoirs of a Geisha is far more boring than any video game I've ever played. I mean, what good is using kung fu actresses if they're not going to fly through the air with swords, but instead talk in crappy English about seducing gullible Japanese men? How boring.
