I am an elitist. If you couldn't already tell from the way I make fun of fat people or mock democracy, I genuinely feel that entire classes of society should be marginalized and removed from my day to day interactions with society. Basically, I think society should promote excellence and punish mediocrity.

When I was in elementary, middle school, and high school, I watched with incredulity as morons would enter the "gifted" classes and struggle valiantly against their inherent lack of intelligence. I knew people who would take the most difficult courses and struggle to pass. The level underneath "gifted" was called "advanced." I'm sorry, but it's not advanced when 70% of the student body takes it. And then there's the fact that anyone could take the gifted classes, and the administrators would be powerless to stop such things, all because of stupid policies enacted in the name of "self esteem." Here's a news flash - stupid people should not have pride in their intelligence, clumsy people should not have pride in their athleticism, and ugly people should not have pride in their appearance.

There are some people who propose that we mix up students and put them all in the same classes with a wide spectrum of ability so that the terrible students could learn from the smart ones. This is ridiculous. Imagine if everyone in high school were required to play football, and the coaches were required to make a bunch of teams so that each team consisted of a similar ratio of people who sucked at sports with gifted athletes. We don't do it in athletics because we know it's retarded. Some people would suck at football not because they failed to learn from the stars, but because they just don't like football. Similarly, many bad students perform poorly in school because they just don't like it. Putting academic stars next to mediocre students would help nobody.

Here is what I propose. Divide students into 5 different groups - hopeless, pathetic, mediocre, gifted, and absolutely freaking brilliant. The groups should consist of 10%, 20%, 40%, 20%, and 10% of the student body, respectively. And students should be classified in this manner on every subject in school. Truly smart kids would continue to learn in school, instead of being dragged down by the morons in their classes. The best teachers would gravitate towards the best students, and the best students would truly be afforded the opportunity to reach their full potential, instead of hitting a ceiling of political correctness.

Our society would once again promote excellence. College admissions already sort students by tier; we need to prepare them for the shock. I know where I stand - I'm not top tier material because I have poor study habits. There's no reason to slow down classes for me because I was too lazy to read the material. Primary and secondary education needs to be like college - no sympathy for stragglers, and plenty of inferior students left behind.

Success means nothing if there's no possibility of failure. By bringing failure back into the picture, truly successful people could get the recognition and respect that they deserve. Stop promoting empty self esteem and let performance speak for itself. We must sacrifice the weak so that our society can remain strong.

I'm going to get so much hate mail for this.
